Attention Foodies! Nadia Jalfi lists the top 5 Spanish cuisines you must try

Reckoned as one of the most exotic cuisines in the world, Spanish food can never disappoint you for sure. From the appetizing tapas to scrumptious seafood and traditional roasts, the country offers an assortment of exquisite cuisines. Thus, it is no exaggeration that Spain is considered a foodie’s paradise, says Nadia Jalfi, a Spain-based food blogger. According to her, Spain is one of the best destinations to savor your taste buds and get a proper taste of the local culture through food.
For all you food lovers, here's something to look forward to!

1.    Gazpacho

A soup made of raw blended vegetables, Gazpacho is served cold with tomato base. It basically includes stale bread, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, onion and garlic, olive oil, wine vinegar, water, and salt. According to Nadia Jalfi, nothing is as refreshing as Gazpacho during hot summer days. You can also try salmorejo, a thicker version of Gazpacho often served with pieces of Ibérico ham on the top.

2.    Croquettes

A small bread-crumbed fried food roll that contains mashed potatoes, ground meat, shellfish, fish, cheese, vegetables, mixed with béchamel or brown sauce, and soaked white bread, egg, onion, spices and herbs, Croquettes is yet another famous Spanish cuisine. You can come across a plate of Croquettes in almost every restaurant or bar in Spain.

3.    Tortilla Espanola

Tortilla Espanola is basically a Spanish omelette which contains egg, potato, and onion cooked in olive oil. Its delectable taste is what makes Tortilla Espanola one of Spain's most famous and beloved national dishes. This classic potato and onion 'omelette' is cooked differently in different cities. Nadia Jalfi believes that the best part about it is that it is filling and appetizing at the same time.

4.    Paella

It’s hard not to love Paella! It is basically a Valencian rice dish, loaded with fresh seafood, spices, and vegetables. Its taste and aroma will keep you coming back for more. The name of this dish comes from the name of the pan that it is cooked in.
